ABA International Law Section Looking for Social Media Assistance

ABA International is looking for young lawyers, law students, or Section members who may not be young or studying, but do know (or have a strong willingness to improve one’s knowledge) about social media, to volunteer to assist the Section to make use of the plethora of social media available to promote the Section’s 2011 Spring Meeting.  There would be use of the “usual suspects” (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), but the use of other social media (e.g., Plaxo, StumbleUpon, podcasting, etc.) would also be considered, depending on the availability of people to conduct the outreach.

Volunteers would be working with the Section staff, leadership, the Spring Meeting Steering Committee, and other Section members to implement the Section’s plan to use effectively the available social media for the 2011 Spring Meeting.  The time commitment would be participation on bi-weekly calls of approximately one (1) hour per call and contributing as you are able to in a meaningful way to the plan’s implementation.  If you have been looking for an opportunity to get involved with the Section as part of your career development plan, then this very well may be the opportunity!

If you have any questions or comments, or would like to get involved with this plan’s implementation, then please contact the Section’s Senior Meeting Planner, Audrey Lamb, at LambA@staff.abanet.org
