Description:
Our non-profit organization is presently seeking a qualified individual to serve as Foreign Policy Associate. S/he will work closely with the Foreign Policy team in support of the Clinton Foundation’s international programs.
Our non-profit organization is presently seeking a qualified individual to serve as Foreign Policy Associate. S/he will work closely with the Foreign Policy team in support of the Clinton Foundation’s international programs.
The Foreign Policy Associate is responsible for research, writing, and conducting in-depth media analyses to prepare briefings for management meetings and other documents for internal use. In addition, the Associate assists in the selection and supervision of Foreign Policy interns and administering the daily operations of the Department.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare management briefings, press overviews, and country analyses.
• Compile weekly and biweekly reports on a variety of foreign policy topics.
• Prepare research, remarks, and other briefings in coordination with the Foreign Policy team, and other departments as needed.
• Liaise with personnel of foreign governments on behalf of the Foundation.
• Work closely on foreign policy issues with other departments, as well as partner and affiliate organizations.
• Participate in meetings, prepare minutes, and assist in follow-up action steps.
• Serve as a point of contact for the Foreign Policy Department internally and to the general public, handling foreign policy related Foundation inquiries.
• Administrative duties include filing, scheduling, expenses, general phone work, and letter writing.
• Participate in the intern selection process and manage interns.
• Additional tasks as requested by the Foundation

• At least 2 years related work experience
• Demonstrated interest in international affairs
• Bachelor or Masters in International Relations, business, law, or related field
• Experience in, or good understanding of, the private sector
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Utmost discretion and judgment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, team-oriented office
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
• Friendly, calm, and positive attitude
• Foreign language skills – particularly Spanish and French a plus
• Dedicated to the mission of the Clinton Foundation
