On October 21, 2011, the Brooklyn Law School in New York will host a one-day symposium on the "Globalization of the United States Litigation Model." This symposium will bring together a dozen scholars to discuss the U.S. model of litigation and how it has or has not influenced the development of other litigation systems. Three sessions will focus on procedural issues, securities litigation and enforcement and derivitive litigation. More information and the program may be found here.
