ICTJ is currently accepting applications for the Spring 2012 Internship Program. Interns will work under the supervision of ICTJ’s regular staff and have the opportunity to learn about the Center’s work in key areas of transitional justice.
The Intern will work under the supervision of ICTJ’s regular staff and have the opportunity to learn about the Center’s work in key areas of transitional justice. The Children & Youth Program Intern will also have the opportunity to enhance his or her research, writing, monitoring and communication skills by assisting Staff with the following tasks –
- Assist in the editing of training modules on Children & TJ
- Contribute to ICTJ’s current research projects and learn about relevant Children & TJ issue:
a.)conduct background research on child protection developments, accountability for children in conflict with the law, child & youth involvement in hostilities, and other child/youth issues in countries of interest (tentatively Cote d’Ivoire & Tunisia).
b.) compile an annotated bibliography of resources published on Children & TJ
3. Develop monitoring skills by tracking -
a.) global developments in the field of child protection
b.)UN policy initiatives related to children & youth
4. Develop communication skills by briefing program staff on news, changes, updates in the Children and TJ field.
