A strong professional network is not only important for conducting a successful job search, but also remains an invaluable asset throughout your entire career.  For international LL.M. candidates, however, U.S.-style networking can feel intimidating and mysterious.  This session will demystify networking and will give you tools that you can put into practice today to become an effective networker.  We will discuss networking in one-on-one as well as group settings, and will also cover cross-cultural issues that can arise in business settings more generally.

Moderator: Toni M. Fine, Assistant Dean for International and Non-J.D. Programs, Fordham Law School

Panelists: Giorgio Bovenzi, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP; Katina Kalin, Private Speech and Voice Coach; Member, Voice and Speech Trainers Association ; Paul Marinaccio, CEO, Tribeca Leadership, LLC; Mary P. Watson, Director of Professional Development, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP

Sponsored by Law Student Perspectives Committee, Chair, Jessica Silverstein

Event Location: 42 West 44th St. (bet. 5th & 6th Ave.)
