This internship will provide opportunities to gain knowledge and experience in Immigration law (particularly as it relates to naturalization) while learning about issues affecting the immigrant community. The internship will primarily focus on activities related to the New Americans Initiative citizenship campaign.

- Attend monthly Citizenship Workshops and prepare applications for naturalization
- Complete applications for naturalization at scheduled follow-up office appointments
- Prepare Fee Waiver requests at Citizenship Workshops and scheduled follow-up office appointments
- Conduct community outreach in select immigrant communities
- Staff the Welcome Desk in the office and answer phones, direct clients to scheduled appointments with Immigration Counselors, and field general questions and re-direct them accordingly
- Assist with follow-up calls to clients
- Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned
- Weekly summary report
- Required readings and reflective journal entries
- Spoken and written fluency in Spanish required
- Organizational skills, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work within a team
- A desire to serve the immigrant and refugee community
- Commitment to the mission, vision and values of World Relief
- Approximately 15-20 hours/week
- Flexible schedule
- Starting August, January, and May

- This is an unpaid internship, however university credit is available with prior approval
