Associate Director of the Center for Legal Studies at the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute


DESCRIPTION OF JOB OPENING

Assist in development, recruiting, training and leading law students in the Edmund Burke Fellowship program; Monitor status of ratification of international treaties; Assist in researching and writing legal briefing papers on international issues; Monitor and report on the UN Human Rights Council, EU institutions, and international legal challenges concerning life and family issues; Develop and maintain relations with UN Sixth Committee members and other delegates who deal with legal issues; Manage the content of C-FAM’s Center for Legal 2 Studies webpages with C-FAM communications director. Requirements: J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school is required and membership to a state bar preferred; Must demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills; Substantial knowledge (through coursework and/or work experience) of international law and international institutions is required; Access to legal research databases appreciated. Applicant must provide a sample of scholarly legal writing and contact information for three references. The position is located in C-FAM’s New York office. Compensation is based on experience. REQUIRED SKILLS
