Job Summary: The Project Manager is the bridge between the field and the CI office. The Project Manager communicates with the projects in the International Division regarding all aspects of the Children, Incorporated program to identify and meet project-level needs. This position reports to the Director of International Programs.
Functions:
• Communicates with the projects via phone, email, letters, or other means regarding all aspects of the Children, Incorporated program.
• Processes and archives project correspondence.
• Works closely with the Program Specialist and Director of International Programs to help the projects complete information requests, needs assessments, and other documents.
• Trains project coordinators regarding the administration and execution of the Children, Incorporated program.
• Evaluates projects and makes recommendations regarding project expansion and contraction. Creates and makes recommendations regarding affiliation and exit strategies.
• Visits and evaluates projects to ensure understanding of and compliance with Children, Incorporated’s program policies and objectives.
• Participates in community development activities that encourage participation and input from different members of affiliated project communities.
• Participates in various opportunities to increase the organization’s visibility among peer groups and other key stakeholders.
• Assists in the design and implementation of grant funded programs and opportunities for the International Division, as such opportunities are available.
• Continually develops technical expertise.
• Establishes program benchmarks. Implements best practices and new initiatives.
• Executes the tasks designated for the International Project Manager set forth in the Strategic Plan.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned or required by the organization and/or the supervisor.

In the field, conditions vary with travel, and may include extreme temperatures, altitudes, exposure to illness, and other risks that are inherent to travel in developing regions. Approximately 50% of time may be dedicated to travel, as required.

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to interact and communicate well with all levels of stakeholders
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to successfully handle conflict, uncertainty, rapidly changing plans/situations with positive results.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, keyboarding, and general office software, comfortable with VOIP, other electronic communication.
• Ability to build focused and effective relationships with diverse communities, including volunteers.
• Ability to train, teach, and lead others of diverse backgrounds.
• Fluency in Spanish.
• Excellent writing skills, ability to cohesively and succinctly write reports and marketing documents.
