EXI welcomes applications from law students for an unpaid internship in the summer of 2011. Interns will assist EXI in fighting to free the wrongfully convicted: they will primarily review cases for potential innocence claims and may also have the opportunity to assist with factual investigations and litigation prep. Interns will become intimately acquainted with criminal law and procedure - particularly regarding postconviction remedies at the state and federal levels.
The ideal applicant has a demonstrated interest in criminal law and social justice, strong writing and verbal communication skills, and a natural ability to think outside the box.
Second year law students preferred, but all applications are welcome.
Please forward a cover letter, resume and writing sample by email to Rebecca Freedman at info@exi.org.
