Fundación Ethos’ Internship Program is designed to provide Fellows with the opportunity to develop research related to the analysis, evaluation and design of public policies to promote Mexico and Latin America’s development.
This program offers the opportunity to acquire work experience and technical knowledge in an amicable work environment, surrounded by experts on issues as diverse as poverty alleviation, economic and social sustainable development, accountability and transparency, gender, leadership development, political analysis, and the fight against corruption, among others.
Fellows will conduct applied policy research related to development issues in Mexico and Latin America. They will be required to develop research and comparative studies; compile information for the construction of databases, and write up reports and policy papers for publication, for which they will receive credit.
The Internship Program has a duration of 10 weeks during the summer (May – August).

Program Conditions
Ethos does not pay a salary or provides monetary compensation to Fellows, whom are expected to cover their expenses traveling to and from Mexico City, as well as housing, local transportation and other living costs during their internship in Mexico. However, Ethos will provide assistance and logistical support regarding housing (safe, affordable and close to Ethos’ offices) and other relevant information.
Ethos will provide a comfortable, modern office space (including high-speed internet) and an enjoyable work environment with a diverse, amicable and bilingual staff of experts.
Ethos does not provide medical insurance nor covers the cost of medical treatment and prevention. We recommend that Fellows arrange medical insurance to cover their stay in Mexico.
• To be eligible for the Ethos Fellowship Program candidates must be enrolled in a full-time graduate study program with an interest in Public Policy and Administration, Development Studies, Latin America, International Development, Public and Economic Policy and others related.
• Research skills: Candidates will be expected to be able to select and develop relevant research questions; select, search for, find and evaluate information sources, and write up reports and policy papers.
• Basic computing skills.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Knowledge of Spanish, while not required, will be considered an advantage.
