Immigration Lawyer at Brazillian Alliance

We are a small non-profit seeking a dedicated volunteer to join our organization as a pro-bono Immigration lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for recent law school graduates seeking nonprofit experience or recent graduates who have funding through their law firm, law fellowship, or can commit to work as a volunteer. This candidate will work from our San Rafael office between 15 and 20 hours per week.

Candidates should have a commitment to immigration law and have past experience or classes in immigration law. Prior experience working with immigrant communities or domestic violence survivors preferred. Candidates must have: good people skills, a passion for helping immigrants and disenfranchised individuals, solid writing and research skills, close attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Bilingual capability in Portuguese preferred. Licensed in California Preferred but will consider candidates licensed in other states.

All interested candidates, please reply with a cover letter and resume to jmatthews@brazilianalliance.org. Let us know what interests you about this opportunity. Currently, Brazilian Alliance is not able to provide additional financial compensation, including benefits such as transportation stipends, healthcare or loan reimbursement, but you will gain valuable career-building experience.
