Student Opportunities with the American Bar Association's International Law Section

The American Bar Association Section of International Law is pleased to announce its annual Rona R. Mears Student Writing Competition & Scholarship Awards program to encourage law student interest and participation in the practice of International Law and the Section. Prizes include $1,000 in cash, free registration and travel to the Spring Meeting and the opportunity to be published in a Section publication. Deadline to enter is January 21, 2011.

The Section also has numerous other student and young lawyer benefits coming in 2011 including the Spring Meeting in Washington, DC April 5 – 9 which includes a Young Lawyer/Student track. There are also numerous receptions, dinners and networking events to expand your contact base. Stay tuned for meeting registration information in the next few months.

The Section has also just launched a Mentorship Program that matches students and young lawyers with experienced legal practitioners for a six month period.

Also keep a look out for the Section's 2011 International Internship Program this coming March where you will have the opportunity to apply for internships all over the world including Latin America, Europe and Asia.
