Human Rights Advocacy Post-Graduate Internship at Franciscans International

Franciscans International (FI) is looking for:   A young graduate in Human Rights to work with the advocacy team on relevant issues related to human rights.
 Essential Responsibilities:

1.       Research, monitor and analyse human rights issues related to the mandate of Franciscans International
2.       Assist the International Advocacy Coordinator on activities related to the Human Rights Council, UPR, UN Treaty Bodies and UN Special procedures System.
3.       When required, attend meetings and report to the IAC
4.       Help organise trainings and special events and keep contact with relevant stakeholders
5.       Produce the documents and reports required for research, advocacy, training and communication activities; In particular, under the supervision of the IAC, drafting urgent appeals, reports, press release
6.       Assist the advocacy team with in the daily work, including administration.
7.       Provide support in any other task as required by the mission and vision of FI.

Requirements:

A.      Post-graduate qualification in International Relations, Human Rights, International Law, or similar fields;
B.      In-depth knowledge of international human rights law and UN mechanisms;
C.      Excellent analytical and communication (oral & written) skills;
D.      Ability to work independently and in a team;
E.       Strong organisational skills;
F.       Fluent English and good knowledge of French. Knowledge of Spanish will be an important asset.  
G.     A previous even short experience in a relevant environment will be an asset;
