Immigration Attorney at the Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law

DESCRIPTION: The Center for Human Rights and Constitutional Law is a Los Angeles non-profit organization that focuses its work on the civil and human rights of insular minorities including immigrants, refugees, children, and indigenous peoples. The Center provides technical support and training to qualified legal services programs in the state of California. In collaboration with legal services programs, the Center initiates and conducts major class action litigation, often involving constitutional law issues. The Center is currently accepting resumes for an Equal Access Fund Support, Center Immigration Attorney who will provide technical support, litigation support and training to lawyers and paralegals employed by California legal services programs in areas involving the rights of vulnerable immigrants, including immigrant victims of serious crimes, unaccompanied immigrant children, and immigrant survivors of domestic violence.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bar admission required (please do not apply if you are not yet admitted to practice law), California admission preferred.
2. Strong Lexis or Westlaw research and analytical writing skills.
3. Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.
4. Strong commitment to social justice issues
5. Experience providing legal services to low-income clients
6. Available to start within two to four weeks.

START DATE: Full-time position immediately available.

SALARY: Annual $45,000 to $60,000, plus medical and dental benefits, vacation and sick leave, ect.
